Kodak Zx1 Rain Test

I had the chance to test out the “water resistance” of my Kodak Zx1 HD camcorder. I’m happy to say after recording this it’s still work just fine. UPDATE: Because my camera suddenly just failed I’m updating to suggests others try another camera. It flat out stopped functioning with no ability to fix it. No change of batteries, no change of SD card (or none at all) fix the issue of the camera even turning on at this point. It’s a little over a year old now and just stopped working. Sad.

is the Fujifilm Finepix Xp10 a good camera?

I’m looking for a good, strong camera. I have a pool so I need water proof. Also, I can be a bit clumsy so shatter resistant is a bonus

I have a very eager child who loves taking pictures with moms camera, who is ready for their very own first camera.

I’m looking for a digital camera (for an 10 year old child), that is going to be -somewhat- durable and/or drop proof. It doesn’t have to be a "kids camera", just built tough enough to handle the not so delicate touch an eager child can have.

I’m not interested in the Vtech, or Fisher Price "cameras". I’m looking for something that doesn’t look like it was designed for a 3 year old. Nor do I want something that’s a flimsy plastic "camera" that is going to fall apart 5 minutes out of the box.

The idea of the Fujifilm FinePix Z33WP, or the Cannon PowerShot D10 which list that they’re super tough, and waterproof (or water resistant) is great, but they are over kill with features, and price for a starting off child photographer.

I ideally want to spend about or less, for a nice -simple- camera that will satisfy the needs of a child who loves taking pictures, but can withstand them at the same time.

Any help and/or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you~

FD7141 is a professional vandal proof and weather proof outdoor fixed dome. It integrates all the elements needed for outdoor security into a compact package. FD7141 is shielded from dust and water with an IP66 rated housing and can fit in high-risk environments due to its vandal resistant design. And, in order to operate in harsh temperature conditions, we also build heater and fan inside FD7141. Talking about video quality, FD7141 adopts a wide dynamic range CMOS sensor to take care of challenging lighting conditions. And it also provides true day and night functionality with a removable IR-cut filter and built-in IR illuminators. The vari-focal lens enables you to adjust focal length according to your needs. Apart from a concrete housing and high video quality, FD7141 also provides several advanced features including dual streams, power over Ethernet, 3GPP, two-way audio by SIP protocol, SD card slot for local storage, and HTTPS encryption to ensure data transmission security. To sum up, I think its one of the very best models that VIVOTEK has built. In terms of specification, quality and price, VIVOTEK FD7141 is definitely the camera of choice for any outdoor applications.

The Wolfs Dance Branson

In August 2009, we spent a week at Big Cedar Lodge near Branson, Missouri with two great families–the Williams and the Burts. This is our video. Our previous video of Disney had a huge built-in web audience of Disney-philes which this video won’t have. There aren’t large subcultures of people who collect Branson memorabilia. Or if they do, they’re not aware it’s a Branson fixation…velvet Elvis; dogs playing poker; “I’m with Stupid” t-shirts, etc. (If they TRULY are Branson collectors, the only video searches they do are in the VHS discount bin at the Dollar General; not on YouTube.) So if you like it, please watch it seventy times. That should help me keep pace with the Orlando video. Also, please give this video five stars. Five stars will mean that my children can continue to eat; that my wife will remain beautiful; and that I will be able to keep my chin up and take on the day. Thank you. The video was produced on a Sony HDR-XR500V camcorder. Underwater portions were shot with an Olympus 1030 SW water-resistant camera. The project was edited with iMovie ‘09, with some help from the Elders at the Church of Mac.
