My brother and I are planning on filming our hunting trips this upcoming fall. Looking for a good quality camera for under 0. Must have high zoom capability (optical) and preferably water proof (resistant).
One that I am interested in is the sony handycam DCR-DVD650, any input on this model will be helpfull.

The camera doesn’t need to have very good picture quality perhaps 3.5 mega pixels, needs to be fairly durable and compact and water resistant, however, it does not need to be water proof. The main thing is that it needs to be fairly cheap, under 0.

I currently have a Sanyo HD1000 but it is veryyyyyy shaky, even with the stabilizer. to shoot decent video with it it must be attached to a tripod – this is not working for me. I need something that will not have such a shaky picture when using it freehand. I do not care much about zooming in, just must have a kick-butt stabilizer. Waterproof/water resistant is a plus. don’t care about high price as long as its worth it. also dont care about what memory as far as flash, SSD, or HDD. PS I know i could just use video editing software to edit out most of the shaking out, but i do not have time for such, and editing 1080p strains my computer so it is not worth it.
