Which is better: Sony TX10 or WX10?

We’re looking for a good reliable family camera. We’re no professional, so we’re not very picky. So, which one of the two is better? I really like the fact that the TX10 is everything proof but I’ve read a few review saying that it’s not actually waterproof, but only water resistant (wet=okay, underwater=not okay) and also I read that it takes a loooong time to turn on/take a picture or a video. I don’t know how long it takes the WX10 to turn on or take a pic/vid so if anyone owns it, your opinion is very much welcomed. What I like about the WX10 is it’s optical zoom (7x. the tx10 only has 4x)

The WX1 would be a better choice…. Its an awesome camera packed with a lot of features… However, You can get the Sony HX7V and Canon SX230 HS for roughly the same price…. and these are alot better cameras….. If u want great HD movies Sony HX7V is great, and Canon is great for stills. both have HD vid. rec.
